Research
Member of the research group Intelligent Systems and Datamining, belonging to Albacete Research Institute of Informatics I3A.
My work is mainly focused in the following research lines:
Evolutionary Computation
- Most of my former research was related to Estimation of Distribution Algorithms, concretelly, I studied parallel models, knowledge incorporation, and applications.
- I'm also interested in other families of algorithms such as:
- Genetic Algorithms
- Particle Swarm Optimization
- Ant Colony Optimization
- etc.
- I'm currently working with my research group in the LiO library, which implements many of these algorithms.
Datamining and Machine Learning
- Most of my research in this field is related to Feature Subset Selection in high dimmensional domains.
- Datamining by means of bayesian methods.
Bayesian Networks Learning
- We are currently working on efficient learning algorithms. In particular, we are mainly focusing in ordering-based algorithms.
Evolutionary Fuzzy Systems
- Efficient learning of rules in Linguistic Fuzzy Rule-based systems.
- Applications to confort.
